  • It’s a fun, 60 minute interview where we talk with you, about you. If you’re a couple, where did you meet? What was your wedding like? What are some of your family stories that stand the test of time?

  • $349: a $50 deposit to book your Interview, and $299 when we deliver the final digital download and USB stick.

  • After booking your Interview Appointment, you will receive an email with a video conferencing link. We’ll touch base ahead of time to discuss any specifics you want us to cover. When the time comes you log in with your phone, computer, laptop or tablet. We spend the next 60 minutes having a guided conversation about your story.

  • You will get a digital download and the file on a USB drive mailed to you within a few days. We add a title card with your name and date to the top of the interview, adjust the audio levels, and put the whole package in a booklet that you can keep in your family archive.

  • It’s similar, but our professional grade software captures the maximum audio and video quality from your camera and keeps the subject and producer’s audio on different tracks. That way your future family archivist can edit the video with maximum compatibility down the line.

  • You can & should! But we make it easy and offer an immediate end-to-end solution with trained storytellers who have years of interview experience. We’ve also discovered that talking to someone outside the family yields unexpected gems!

  • We can, but that will cost a little more. Contact us so we can talk about what you have in mind.

More FAQ

  • Can I use any browser on my computer?

    No, only Chrome works at this time. Please turn off Incognito mode for best results. We will send a confirmation email with a unique Interview Room link. When the time comes, click it and you’ll be ready to go!

  • What about my phone or tablet?

    You can use those, too--but first download the Riverside.fm app on either your iOS or Android device. When we confirm your interview, we'll send you instructions.

  • Do you send a camera?

    No—because we don’t have to! Cameras on phones, tablets, and computers are so good that we keep costs down by allowing you to use the camera on your device.

  • How do I schedule time?

    When you are ready, click the “Schedule an Interview” button and find a time with one of our Producers that works for you. If you want to gift an interview, click the “GIft an Interview” button—you will receive an eGift Certificate that you give your loved one and they book a time that works for them.

  • Can I book a solo interview? Or one with more than two people?

    Yes! Everyone’s story is different and we want to tell them all. We’ve interviewed siblings, grandparents with caretakers and even couples that just got married. Our producers will contact you ahead of time to work out the details of your interview.

  • How long do the interviews take?

    60 minutes or so. We can cover a lot of ground in about the time that it takes to watch a movie on Netflix. If we need to book more interview time, we charge $175 for each additional 60 minute block. Talk to our team directly about scheduling more time after your initial interview.

  • How much editing do you do?

    Very little. By design, the ForeverStory Classic Interview is a real-time recording of our conversation with you. We keep your voice and the Producer’s voice on seperate channels so your family filmmaker will have maximum flexibility to edit the video at a later time. This allows us to keep our costs down. However, we are a full-service video production service so let’s talk about a what you have in mind.

  • Can you add pictures or video to the interview later?

    Maybe! Contact us if you would like to discuss custom pricing for these additional services.

  • It seems like you're really focused on remote interviews. Can you also do them in person?

    Yes, we definitely can! Check out our Pro Interview, currently available to clients in the greater Los Angeles area. If you live elsewhere in the country, contact us and we can find a solution.
